  • Q: Is it hard to get to Hradec Kralove?

    A: Definitely not. Prague international airport is 90 mins drive from the studio. There are also comfortable direct trains and coaches.

  • Q: What about accommodation?

    A: Unfortunately it is unavailable for clients to stay in the studio over night at the moment however beautiful hotels and airbnbs are available walking distance from the studio.

    The closest ones are Zdena Bouda (20 mins walk) and Apartmany U Stribrnych which is 30 mins walking distance from the studio. These are approximately €80/night.

  • Q: Where and when can we buy beer, wine and spirits?

    A: Local store Potraviny u Tonyho (7 mins walk) is open 7AM - 7PM on weekdays and 7AM - 5PM on weekends. Large Tesco (15 mins walk) is open everyday 6AM - 10PM.

  • Q: What about transportation, how do we get from the airport to Padmaloka?

    A: Renting a car is a very flexible option, however there are comfy direct trains and buses going from Prague straight to the studio.

  • Q: What and where should we eat?

    A: Restaurace Hrazka (7 mins walk) offers delicious traditional Czech meals with the classic Pilsner Urquell beer on the tap. Pizza Sprint (5 mins walk) offers great pizza, burgers, wine and beer. €10 will sort you out with a full meal with beer on the side. You can also stock the fridge with food and cook your own meals using the studio kitchen.

  • Q: I need some guitar strings, is there a music store around?

    A: Yes, CMI Music is a large music store located 6 mins by car or 40 mins by walk from the studio.

  • Q: Are the instruments and gear included in the studio rates?

    A: Yes.

  • Q: Are stems included after the mix?

    A: To keep mix rates reasonable, we don’t create mix stems unless needed. So if not specified in your mix quote it’s not included. However we are happy to provide you with stems for remixes, live shows and so on at an hourly rate.

  • Q: Do Padmaloka have their own producers?

    A: Yes. We are proud to have Honza Dolezal from The Valentines as our in house producer available to hire along your stay. Get in touch to discuss if Honza is a good match to your project.

  • Q: Is your gear list up to date?

    A: Yes, we never list broken gear or equipement.

  • Q: We arrive the evening before the session start, can we set up and do sound check?

    A: Sure you can. However note the hours spend on that will be charged as your usual hourly rate.

  • Q: I need a piece of gear/instrument not listed on your website, are you able to help?

    A: If it's not something too exotic, we will help you as best as we can.

  • Q: I have recorded at Padmaloka in the past, can you send me my tracks?

    A: We keep all of the past projects on hard drives so they are available for you at any time. We are happy to send you a Pro Tools session free of charge but if you are asking for multitracks, that means some extra work on our side with fades, checking each individual track etc. For this we charge hourly rate.

  • Q: Do you do mastering?

    A: Yes.

  • Q: Can I send you my demo?

    A: We are always more than happy to listen to your stuff! Feel free to send us your demos to padmalokarecordings@gmail.com. But please be aware that we are not a record label. We cannot offer you a deal or sign you.

  • Q: Can I visit?

    A: Yes. Get in touch with us to arrange a meeting.

  • Q: Does your gear work?

    A: We check our gear regularly and if it's broken, we take it off the list immediately.
